SMP- (Scalp Micropigmentation) and Paramedical Uses
Scalp Micropigmentation (\text{SMP}): Hair Density Restoration
SMP} is a non-surgical solution for hair loss. It involves tattooing thousands of tiny, micro-dots of pigment into the scalp to simulate the look of hair follicles.
Regardless of the area treated, our process emphasizes hygiene, precision, and patient comfort.
For Men
Creates the look of a closely shaved, full hairline.
For Men & Women
For Men & Women: Adds density and camouflages thinning hair, making the scalp less visible beneath existing hair.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Regardless of the area treated, our process emphasizes hygiene, precision, and patient comfort.
Consultation & Custom Mapping
We meticulously map and design the area (e.g., brow shape, lip outline, hairline) to ensure symmetry and meet your aesthetic goals before any pigment is applied.
Color Selection
We custom-blend medical-grade, hypoallergenic pigments to ensure a natural shade that complements your skin tone and hair color.
Numbing & Treatment
A strong topical anesthetic is applied for comfort. The chosen technique is then used to implant the pigment
Touch-up
A mandatory 4–8 week touch-up session is needed to perfect the shape and color saturation, solidifying the lasting result.
Results Duration
Micropigmentation is semi-permanent, meaning the pigment fades over time, allowing for updates to color or shape.
Duration
Typically lasts 1 to 3 years before an annual "color boost" is needed.
Fading Factors
Sun exposure, oil production, and the use of harsh anti-aging products (like Retinol or Glycolic Acid) can accelerate fading
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Micropigmentation painful?
With the use of high-strength topical numbing agents applied before and during the procedure, most treatments are very tolerable. Clients often describe the sensation as a light vibration or a slight buzzing, with minimal discomfort
How long does permanent makeup last?
Results are semi-permanent, lasting typically 1 to 3 years. Lip and \text{SMP} pigments tend to last slightly longer than brow pigments due to different skin qualities and external exposure. An annual maintenance session will keep the color crisp.
How is Micropigmentation different from a regular tattoo?
It differs in depth and pigment type. Micropigmentation uses mineral-based pigments deposited more superficially in the skin, designed to fade naturally. Traditional tattoos use ink deposited much deeper, designed to last forever
Is there downtime after getting permanent makeup?
Downtime is minimal. You will experience redness and swelling (especially with Lip Blush) for the first 24–48 hours. The pigmented area will look darker and more intense for the first 5–7 days before the top layer flakes off, revealing the final, softer color
Who is not a good candidate for Micropigmentation?
Individuals who are pregnant or nursing, those undergoing chemotherapy, people prone to keloid scarring, or those with certain active skin conditions (e.g., active cold sores for lip procedures) are generally not candidates. A full medical history is required during consultation
